I have 30+ years & THOUSANDS of ancestral family members found for HUNDREDS of clients, but alas, I still seek other 3rd-parties to verify my stunning works. It is yet another arrow in my quiver of Exceptional Expert Standards:
“By percentages, it’s been harder to become an Expert on JustAnswer than it’s been to get into Harvard. All Experts have to pass a rigorous application and credentials-verification process. GermanGenealogist’s Review … Gilbert, AZ
“Former Ancestry.com #1 top researcher sounds off !”

daily computer user, a researcher, curious by nature, Practical, into the web, a busy person, German Genealogist, German Genealogy, Deutscher Ahnenforscher

Ancestry.com Pros: Vast database of resources, Premier genealogy website, Free trial period, very resourceful, Always adding information, German Genealogist, German Genealogy

Ancestry.com Cons: requires lots of Patience, Requires time and dedication, Can’t just print your tree, Not for the dilitante, Only supported by Internet Explorer, Terrible customer service, no German Genealogist

Ancestry.com — I got my money’s worth out of Ancestry.com the very 1st day I used it–at its inception, long before they had billions of records! I am stunned with what they still give away for free! As a former Ancestry.com telephone research representative, we were all authorized to cancel customers’ subscriptions–even after their trial period had expired! But prior to cancellation, I was usually able to help them find what they were seeking–or get them on the right path.
If you ever feel shorted by Ancestry.com, Ancestry.com.au, Ancestry.co.uk or Ancestry.de, we are proud to make everyone a generous offer:
Lynell & Karl-Michael Sala are the very 1st 2 persons hand-picked in 2006 by Ancestry.com for the short-lived–but highly successful–Paid Expert Ancestry Research Line. Why? Because we would usually find data, documents or images for international subscribers, i.e., people just like you, who could not find anything.
When that effective team was dissolved (many tears), Karl was the primary German Genealogy research consultant for Ancestry.de! He also was crucial in helping with Australia, Canada, UK & Europe!
Chance of success? Either on Ancestry.com or elsewhere online: Oh, about 80%.

GermanGenealogist.com is proud to be experiencing more German Genealogy research cases accompanied by success than any previous year!

Wow. When it rains, it pours. For the sakes of well-paying clients, we’re having to turn down projects we’d normally accept. For a South African business owner client who wishes to obtain a German Passport, we DHL Expressed a package of 4 huge German Genealogy research case projects.

And for the Deutsche Bank director, we are finding numerous ancestral family members in the parish records of 4 different villages in what is known today as Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany.

There are more big cases on the stove. This includes the Founder/Publisher of a magazine that caters to the wealthiest people in the nation: GENTRY.

Sloane Citron is related to the Citroen French auto magnate. Naturally, Sloane would like for us to do an ad. This advertising arrangement could make it a huge case for us. He read my online review of Ancestry.com & liked what he read. Yes, these clients needed to be communicated with, but we give the base credit for the success to our webmaster. Our GermanGenealogist.com website has been Search Engine Optimized since 2008. If you’d also like to be SEO’d, email paj@webondb.

We are humbly proud to be experiencing more German Genealogy research cases accompanied by success than any previous year!

Sean O’Donnell, former HR Recruiter at Ancestry.com writes the 54th Linkedin Endorsement for this German Genealogy Expert!

Sean O’Donnell, former Ancestry.com HR Rep wrote my 54th endearing endorsement on Linkedin.com: ‎”When I worked in Human Resources at Ancestry.com (then MyFamily.com) we provided training so our member services representatives could become proficient in customer service and sales. But when we wanted them to learn how to help our customers succeed, we turned to Karl. His expertise and passion for family history research were legendary. A true professional.” Sean O’Donnell

Thanx, Sean, for considering my service at Ancestry.com as “legendary.” Coming from you, it is a double-compliment. Mike Moran, Ancestry.com HR Manager said: “Karl, we’re going to have to clone you.”

Back into the late 1600s for the ENGELHARDT “German” lineage in what today is known as Baden-Wuerttemberg

For our Deutsche Bank director client, research hypothetically, we are now back into the late 1600s for the ENGELHARDT lineage in what today is known as Baden-Wuerttemberg. Three different villages; a possible fourth yet to come. We love the ride. On the map, you can see where Baden, Wuerttemberg & Hohenzollern once were.

At BYU, I “clepped” (CLEP) numerous college-level German language courses.

Karl-Michael Sala wrote:
After my 1976-77 2-yr mission to Germany for the Savior & His people, at Brigham Young University, I “clepped” or tested out of numerous German language courses. No grade; just a pass & pay for the credits. That, along with using the GI Bill I had earned as an honorably discharged Vietnam Era Veteran with the United States Air Force, & having attended school over the summers enabled me to graduate within 3 & 1/2 years (Jan 1978- Aug 1981).

Well, I went on to take not German classes, but rather bolster my knowledge of German Genealogy research. This included paid field trips to Germany (both East & West at the time), Czechoslovakia & the National Archives in Washington DC! Stunningly valuable experience that enabled me to become a top German Genealogist for hundreds of clients since 1979.
