Karl-Michael Sala Each & every one! Long stories, of course. But, omigosh, soo very satisfying. My wife, Lynell, does not even speak German, but she singlehandedly cracked one of the matriarchal German lineages on that case! Just one short solution: When the “front & back doors” (the professionally-accepted, i.e. textbook places to look) were locked (failed), she went to the records of a larger nearby town–& unusually, there she was! I would not have done it. So, remember the genealogy researcher formula: 1+1 >2! And, don’t you forget it, Baba Louie{;>)

Gretchen A. Warda (nee Wernecke), a DAR sister, Colonial Dame & Wisconsin Society Past President, paid us over $4,000 back in the early 1980s to do field, on-site German Genealogy research in East Germany.  Yes, back when it was NO FUN!  She had read my article in a genealogical publication.  The topic was on-site German Genealogy research IN-country.  She was hooked.  This fellow, Karl-Michael Sala had traveled to numerous tiny little villages all over Germany  & the Czech Republic (Cechy in Czech, historically aka Bohemia or Böhmen, auf deutsch) for himself, the mother of his children, their ancestors & a few clients!  This guy could actually decipher this old German handwriting better than his native German mother, for goodness sake.  Give me a telephone so I can call this guy to ask him if he’d do some research for me.

  The microfilms are NOT all in Salt Lake City!  Some had been misfiled.  This was ascertained by a researcher in Poland who was contracted by us.  Email karlmsala@msn.com for details.

Turning the hearts of the children to the remembrance of the promises made to their ancestors is part of my mission on Elijah’s team. As a near-death experience survivor, I say that Time is Short.
