The Glisten of the Diamond Ring

Karl-Michael Sala wrote (& yes, you may quote me, but provide my URL & toll-free # if you do):
When the glistening of the diamond ring is clouded with a bit of time, it is the silken smooth notions of empathy, mercy, forgiveness & understanding that will carry the marriage to its final status as “for better or worse.”–Karl-Michael Sala www.GermanGenealogist.com 1-888-456-7252

Political Borders of Europe from 1519 to 2006 & Germany from 1789 to 2005 (Music: Brahms Waltz 1865)

GermanGenealogist.com writes: If the images anywhere on our site do not appear, then click on the refresh button (usually two encircling arrows). And here we only BEGIN to comprehend the bizarre nature & history of the geography of Europe–& then Germany–in two separate videos found on YouTube. While they are not perfect, it indeed shows the inane difficulty of trying to ascertain the geography & boundaries of anything we might have known as Allemania, Germany, Prussia, Deutschland, etc.:

Note: As suggested by mikolajoskierko (thanks) in the comments section, this map should more appropriately be entitled Political Borders of Germania from 1789 to 2005 since Germany did not exist as a state until 1871. Nevertheless, I will keep it as Germany because although such nuances are important, they are extraneous to the main point of this particular movie.

…My first map abt European political borders:

The individual maps can be found here:

Images are in Wikipedia.

Music: Johannes Brahms – Waltz (1865)

Note: I am not affiliated with the websites, I just made this out of pure curiosity.

The German Genealogist ‎2010: A Record-Shattering Year Indeed.

The German Genealogist ‎2010: A Record-Shattering Year Indeed.

In 2010, I predicted to Lynell that we’d get a client to pay us $10,000. Nope. Got $13,500 from one client! We cracked ALL of his cases! Lynell did two all on her own. Now where can we find a few more of those kind of clients?

Those who provide larger retainers never complain. The ones who give us $100 & expect us to find their ancestor in Germany, now that is not fair. One must firm up the foundation prior to framing & certainly well before trying to construct the roof!
