New German Genealogy research client acquired this week: former client of the research arm of Ancestry.com!

Another prospect finds my profile & reads some of my 102+ endearing endorsements on Linkedin.com. Then, he reads some of my research success stories on my blog/URL/website! I just sold him a $2,000 European genealogy research case! As an added satisfaction bonus, the client is a former client of the research arm of Ancestry.com{:>) I’ve cracked cases they could NOT! I also charge less than HALF as much as they do. They despise when I mention these facts. They get frustrated with my remarks & plead they could have solved it, too–with a bit more time allotted. “Nope,” I told ’em. “Your research specialist who does NOT specialize in German research had been barking up the wrong tree entirely, while digging at the wrong roots! Furthermore, that genealogist only has enough German Genealogy research knowledge to be dangerous!” Ooh, yes, that bridge is burned. But guess whom it is that numerous investment companies consult ABOUT Ancestry.com & the entire online ancestry, genealogy & family history research industry? These firms have paid me 5 times now $200/hr for those consultations. These conversations always set Ancestry.com & their research arm in a great light{:>) No, I did not set that fee–the investment companies did! No, my clients do NOT pay that figure!

Letter to Marlus Reque for BrazilGenealogy.com blog, a part of Karl-Michael Sala’s Genealogist Researcher Network (GRN)

Hi Marlus Reque, http://www.BrazilGenealogy.com (please visit ASAP)

As you know, there are millions of people on the other side of the veil who WANT to be found. We like to think that we are a part of the prophet Elijah’s team{:>) Thank you for helping us at the Genealogist Researcher Network (GRN) with Elijah’s mission to turn the hearts of the [descendants] to their [fore]fathers.

For posting wherever you’d like, feel free to take this video embed code, link or anything else.

So that you might add your own content to m/y/our site, I shall soon send you a user name & password. BUT FIRST: Please email your acceptance &/or questions at your earliest convenience.

YOUR COST?  You owe us nothing to get this URL/blog set up, managed, updated & Search Engine Optimized (SEO).  Karl will be your servant, i.e. administrator, customer servant & salesman.  Paul Andrew Johnson, my son-in-law, will be m/y/our webmaster who performs the requisite tasks to get us all Search Engine Optimized. My site http://www.GermanGenealogist.com has been SEO’d consistently since 2009!  How would it be if someone put “Brazil Genealogy” &/or “Brazil Genealogist” that m/y/our site came up on the first page of Google?  That is precisely what I now enjoy & how I obtained HUGE client retainers! $33,000 & $20,000, i.e. over a period of 2 years: 2011 & 2012!

WHO is MY customer? Both you & the clients!

ADMIN, SERVICE & SALES:  These are massive time-consuming tasks for any business.  You need to be researching, not performing these tasks, so we perform these for you.  Karl is a proven & trained genealogy sales- & service-oriented person!  PROOF? 2006-2007: Karl sold FIVE times as much research as any other consultant at Ancestry.com!  This is documented by Dave Johnston, former Ancestry.com manager, in one of Karl’s 102+ endearing endorsements on Linkedin.com

ONLY WHEN & IF something comes through for Portugese-oriented research, we will grant you 50% of the proceeds. If you work for a genealogy research company, they only give you about 20% of the proceeds! Sooo, 50% is more than double the industry norm! Of this generous offering, we are VERY proud.  In addition, these will be research cases you most likely would not have achieved on your own! Indeed, 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing{:>)

FRESH CONTENT: is what Google likes/wants in order to get you SEO’d. You are therefore asked to blog no less than once a week.  That is, post something new, results, success stories, endorsements, links, maps, etc.  This is not the time for humility. This is the time to strut your stuff!  Our clients have often told us that we were selected because of our confidence & our having spoken with them about what we would do & then having given them something for free!

Your colleague, friend & servant,  Karl-Michael Sala <karlmsala@msn.com> 602-865-9695 cell

102nd endearing endorsment: Ray Jones, Ass’t Professor of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh has recommended Karl-Michael Sala as an expert German Genealogist.

Ray Jones Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh has recommended you on LinkedInRay Jones

June 28, 2012

Ray Jones has recommended your work as International German Genealogist at GermanGenealogist.com.

Details of the Recommendation: “Karl-Michael took the time to respond in great depth to two of my Facebook posts on genealogy research questions. It was amazing to have a professional genealogist provide in-depth responses to my questions, as Karl-Michael is the type of genealogist who understands that research comes down to locating the proper records. In both of my posts, I was looking for additional sources for ancestors. Karl-Michael was able to sift through the details I provided and then identify specific sources of additional records that were relevant and useful to my research. Keeping this in mind, I would not hesitate in hiring Karl-Michael for a larger project. He brings a wealth of knowledge of American and European records along with a great sense of enthusiasm for tackling difficult genealogical problems.”

Sweet Georgia Posvar comments about The German Genealogy Expert

Georgia Posvar(client) hired you as a Genealogist in 2011

Top qualities: Expert, Good Value, High Integrity

“I am pleased to say that Karl Sala very quickly was able to find that my family members arrived in the New Orleans Port of entry rather than the Galveston entry as I had been searching. I had been having no success and he solved that problem for me immediately. He has also shared information with me on Ancestry.com and placed the New Orleans Passenger List on Box.Net so that all of the family and other interested individuals can also share this information which I think is truly great. He goes the extra mile to try to please you. Definitely give him a try, you will be pleased, as I am. He and his wife are so knowledgable in so many areas, whatever your need might be, please check out their bios first [perhaps on Linkedin.com where they have 101+ endearing endorsements] and you will be truly amazed of all the services he and his wife Lynell can offer you.” April 7, 2011Online German Emigration (departure) or North American Immigration (arrival) Research

Why, yes, I am a “Mormon” i.e. a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

July 1974, while a member of the USAF & simultaneously a member of a rock-n-soul popular dance music band, I gave up wacky weed, wine & wild women. This, to accept my calling & mission for our Savior to become a fisher of men, women & children, both the Living & the Deceased.

I have opted to serve mostly as a German Genealogy Research Expert.  Yes, some of my clients become interested in the notion that their ancestors are interested in them.

About 50% of my time is pro bono.  I occasionally have to remind some folks that, hey, ’tis I who selects when, where & with whom this is shared.

“I am thrilled to announce that I have joined [Italy Genealogy research activities & efforts] with Karl and I hope that this will be the beginning of a great partnership. Karl has been nothing but honest and straightforward with me from the beginning. His ability to communicate with me so I can understand has been great. His love of what he does transcends to me because Genealogy is what I love. I highly recommend Karl Michael Sala to anyone with German or European Genealogy roots.

German Genealogy 101? Before you contract an expert German Genealogist…

Any tips or advice for someone just beginning the German research process?

  • Randy Pertiet likes this.
  •  Karl-Michael Sala    Let’s see. Let’s do what a lot of folks try to do &/or have me do: Karl, now I’ve done EVERYTHING (no, they haven’t) in USA records, so, just jump across to Germany (or any one of numerous other modern-day European countries whence Germans migrated)  & find my Johann Schmidt, born I don’t know when, but SOMEWHERE in Prussia or maybe Alsace-Lorraine or even Austria. My cousin thinks it is Russia.  The target immigrant ancestor immigrated all by himself from Hamburg (no, it was Bremen). I’d appreciate any help you can give me…

  • First of all, what is right with this query? How can it be improved? What do you think? “Karl, I have the foundation dug, the footings sealed in place, ’tis poured, the framing is done & I want you to now take over my work & attach the roof! I hear you attach a lot of roofs. That’s all I want. Is that too much to ask?” Yes, it is.

  • Off my soapbox now: Round up EVERYTHING from the USA or other country whence the emigrant migrated. Get the passenger list(s), both arrival & departure, if it exists… Query all relatives & OFFER THEM MASSAGE, MILK or MONEY to round up what data, documents & images they have. Warning: If I find what you seek, you owe me a cheeseburger{:>)

Where is Prussia or Preussen?  In the above image only, it is just the blue parts.

The German Empire. Missing is Alsace-Lorraine in the far Southwest. Also known as Elsass-Lothringen, now in France.
